Our professional dietary staff strives to ensure residents get the foods they like and the nutrition they need. Our dietitian reviews menus to ensure meals are well-balanced. All residents receive breakfast in their rooms and we encourage everyone to join us in our dining rooms for lunch and dinner. Our main dining room provides a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline, come see for yourself.

The dietary department prepares and serves meals in accordance with physicians’ orders to meet daily caloric and nutritional allowances set forth by the Food & Drug Administration. A registered dietitian on staff assesses all residents’ nutritional programs based on multicultural need. The dietitian conducts monthly family wellness workshops on Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). A Certified Dietary Manager oversees all production and dining service. Forest Hill offers room-to-room breakfast service, Thursday breakfast buffet, restaurant style dining areas, Wednesday dessert cart, Friday ice cream sundae bar, and summer BBQs.

thursday breakfastOur dietary staff serves lunch and dinner in our communal dining rooms 7 days a week and we encourage all residents who are able to join us. Breakfast is brought to residents and served to them in bed 7 days a week.

On Thursday mornings the dietary department hosts a breakfast buffet in the large dining room. This optional breakfast buffet offers residents more food choices than normal breakfast service and provides a fun and social atmosphere for residents to enjoy their breakfasts. Most residents go straight to recreation or therapy from the breakfast buffet.
